FAQ
What is a wedding "film" versus a "highlight film"?
A wedding film is a full length dedicated video that captures the day with a cinematic flair, incorporating audio from the ceremony, speeches, first-looks, etc. alongside a variety of footage to create a coherent story of the wedding day.
A highlight film captures short key moments throughout the day, such as the ceremony, preparation, and reception allowing a quick glimpse in a video fashion.
Is the wedding film a full-length video of the day?
The highlight film is not a second-by-second recording. It’s a cinematic edit designed to preserve the emotion and story of your wedding through carefully selected moments, vows, and speeches. A Linear Timeline Add-On is available for all the footage captured during the day.
Do you record audio during the ceremony and speeches?
Yes. Professional audio recording is used during the ceremony and key reception moments to ensure vows and speeches are clearly captured and incorporated into your film when applicable.
How would you describe your style?
My approach is documentary-inspired and story-driven. I focus on genuine moments as they naturally unfold, with light direction when needed to keep things relaxed and authentic. The goal is timeless imagery and films that feel true to who you are.
Do you help with the wedding day timeline?
Yes. Timeline guidance is included with every wedding collection. I work with you (and your planner, if applicable) to ensure the day flows smoothly and allows time for meaningful moments without feeling rushed.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak spring and fall dates. I take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives a personalized experience.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I’m based in East Tennessee and frequently travel throughout the Tri-Cities, Knoxville, and Western North Carolina. Travel within a set radius is included, and custom travel quotes are available for destination weddings and elopements.
When will we receive our photos and film?
Photo galleries are typically delivered within 4–6 weeks. Wedding films are aimed to be delivered within a similar timeframe. While it is always in my best interest to be as swift as possible, no exact window is guaranteed due to the time of year, workload, volume, etc. I aim for a quality over quantity approach.
How many photos will we receive?
The final number varies based on coverage length and the flow of the day, but you can expect a carefully curated gallery that tells the complete story of your wedding.
What happens if it rains or plans change?
I’m comfortable working in all lighting and weather conditions. If plans change, we’ll adapt together to make the most of the situation and keep the day stress-free.
My venue requires an EOI, are you insured?
Yes. I carry professional liability insurance and can provide documentation upon request.
Can we customize a package?
Absolutely. While collections are designed to fit most weddings, custom options are available based on your needs.
